My second album, What Killed the Dinosaurs, examines the issue of mortality from a variety of perspectives. It may be my least popular record; no attempt was made to produce something commercially palatable. Though in all honesty, the same might be said about my other records. Some people will find the subject matter of “I’m Ok,” “See the Joker,” and “Pink Flamingos” very troubling. But most people won’t get it at all. Oh well. There are several upbeat songs on the album, but if you listen closely to the lyric you’ll hear an annoying preoccupation with the end of things with death. Emptiness is a persistent theme. No worries — it was just a phase. The third album was much more uplifting.
