Pittsburgh Morning Show anchors Jon and Christine stopped by on Day One of the Pittsburgh Home and Garden Show to film a preview of the Top 10 Life-Changing Products Exhibit. The segment, which was picked up by The Huffington Post and MSN, was one of a half-dozen filmed on opening day of the 10-day show.
Thanks in part to strong media coverage, the show set attendance records each of the first three days. Hundreds of people who saw the segment stopped by to see the cool new products in person. The biggest hits so far have been the 3D printer, the countertop phone recharger, and the Ring doorbell. But the returns are still coming in.
The show, one of the biggest in the country, set attendance records during the first weekend, thanks in part to strong pre-show media coverage. KDKA filmed its entire Morning Show live from the event. At times, throngs of attendees made it difficult to get down the aisles of the show, held at the city’s magnificent David L. Lawrence Convention Center.
The exhibit and my presentations also received its share of pre-show newspaper and magazine coverage. It made a list of hot events to attend around Pittsburgh. I like the part about “renowned” home expert Boyce Thompson.
