The Life-Changing Products (LCP) exhibit rolled through Austin in late August, whetting the tech-inclined local population’s thirst for the latest home gadgets.
The road show started with an appearance on KXAN TV. Anchor Amanda Tatom asked all the right questions about the four products brought into the studio. She seemed particularly interested in the Mimo baby monitor. In fact, she held the Missy Kissy doll used to demonstrate it throughout the spot.
The Austin Statesman teased local homeowners with a story about the products in the exhibit. The 22nd Annual Fall Austin Home & Garden Show was produced by Show Technology. The advance publicity lead to a great turnout in the booth and to hear several weekend presentations, one about new products, a second about home design.
Attendees peppered this curator with questions about the capabilities of Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple TV. They used a Z-Wave system from Fibaro to turn on the lights and radio. And they were treated to demonstrations of several prototypes, including the Gate Deadbolt and Triple Plus Smart Water Valve. Husqvarna’s robotic lawn mower proved a big hit with attendees.
